Controlling your electric radiators
Cut energy waste and make your heating “smart” with one of our simple, affordable and flexible electric radiator control systems.
We offer 2 types of system when it comes to controlling your electric radiators:
1. In-house controls – wireless technology allows you to control your radiator(s) using in-house wireless controllers with timers and thermostats – for control at home.
2. App controls – smart technology now allows you to control your radiator(s) remotely using an app on your device – for control out and about.
We have control options that are compatible with a huge range of designs from both our contemporary and traditional electric radiator ranges, meaning beautiful radiators that are also efficient and cost effective. Just ask our expert sales team for guidance on the best system for your specific circumstances using the electric radiator designs, sizes and finishes of your choice.
Our control options enable you to tailor your heating to suit your lifestyle, meaning that your heating will only be on when and where it’s needs to be, minimising your energy consumption and heating bills and maximising the efficiency.
So which control system would work best for you?
In-house controlled electric heating
Create heating zones - an example
Upgrade your electric radiators to an electric centrally controlled heating system and create "heating zones" around your property in order to ensure the most efficient use of energy.
This example is for a 3 bedroom, detached home of a full-time, working family on a weekday. They have programmed 2 controllers to create 2 heating zones for their home; one upstairs and one downstairs. This programme has been set to make the most effective and efficient use of their electric radiators.
Zone 1 = Downstairs
Includes living room, dining room, hall, downstairs loo and kitchen.
The wireless central controller for downstairs is set for an ideal temperature of 22 degrees. This has been specified to maintain a comfortable temperature for eating meals, watching TV, etc.
Heating is to come on before and after work (weekdays).
A different timer programme would be set for the weekend.
Zone 2 = Upstairs
Includes bedrooms, landing and family bathroom.
The wireless central controller for upstairs is set for an ideal temperature of 18 degrees. This has been specified to maintain a comfortable temperature when getting up in the morning and getting ready for bed.
Heating is to come on before work and before bed (weekdays).
A different timer programme would be set for the weekend.

WiFi/App control systems for electric radiators

- For our cast iron and column electric radiators, you can upgrade to our WiFi controlled electric elements.
- For the Slimline Curve aluminium electric radiators, you can upgrade to the WiFi control version.
- For many of our designer and feature radiators, we recommend the APP-solute Control system.

Link electric radiators to form an electric central heating system
Create an electric central heating system using any of our electric radiator designs
Invisibly link through wireless technology several of our electric radiators to create an ingenious, centrally controlled, electric heating system, with time and temperature controls.
Creating an electric central heating system will provide you with precision targeted, thermostatically controlled, electric heating. By only having heat when and where you want it, you can maximise the efficiency of your heating system, cutting your energy waste, minimise your energy usage, reduce your impact on the environment and reduce your heating bills.
Our electric central heating systems offer:
Controllability - a controller or app offers 7 day programmable timer (6 heating periods within 24 hours) and temperature settings ensuring optimum heat only when and where you want it. The controller/app is simple to programme and easy to use.
Ability to create "heating zones" - Tailor each zone to suit your lifestyle and alter zones easily as your living habits change. This system offers the ultimate flexibility as it gives you freedom to choose any number of heating zones, layout of zones, number of radiators in each zone, position of radiators and design, finish and size of radiators. Why heat upstairs when your downstairs? And vice versa? See below for more information on heating zones.
Minimises wasted energy - through time and temperature controls and setting heating zones
Convenience - by programming the controller or your system through our app, you ensure your radiators automatically turn on and off as needed, without having to programme each radiator individually. With our smart app, you can control radiators remotely via your PC, tablet or mobile.
Replacement for aging storage heater systems.
Only want one electric radiator?
All our electric radiators can operate independently as stand-alone heaters. They come with basic controls such as an on/off switch or possibly a basic temperature control.
They do not come with timer controls; you can buy a timer switch but these tend to be big and ugly.
However you can upgrade individual electric radiators with the addition of a wireless controller/smart app system to enable you to programme time and temperature settings to automatically turn the radiator up or down when necessary and minimise your energy usage.
An example
A house has standard piped, non-electric, central heating throughout the house, but a new conservatory requires heating and it would be difficult to extend the standard central heating. So an independent electric radiator is the perfect solution.
Conservatories are prone to significant fluctuations in heat, for instance, when the sun comes out, and they are often used at different times to other living spaces. So to ensure the most efficient use of energy, thermostatic controls and a timer are required and our wireless controller would be ideal for this purpose.
